Common technical problems and solutions for vehicle mobile DVR FAQ Technology issue of the car monitoring video system

Common technical failures and solutions:

1: there is time display on the vehicle screen, but no video display of the camera, and the picture shows in all black.

Re: (1) Check whether the video signal cable and power cable of the camera are properly connected,ensure that the camera can work normally;

      (2) Check the display Settings, whether the preview switch is set to off.

2: After the SD card is inserted, the camera cannot record video.

Re: (1) Check whether the SD card lock is properly locked.

       (2) Check whether the INSERTED SD card was damaged and whether the SD card has been formatted by the device. Insert the SD card into the card holder again. The insertion process should be easy. Make sure that the SD card is inserted properly before turn on.

3: the video on the vehicle display is frozen, no change.

Re:The video recorder may be in heavy disturbed,and leading the system fail. Please turn off the video recorder and restart the power supply.

4: When the video recorder is working normally, it suddenly stops recording and then returns to standby state.

Re:(1) Check whether the SD card is in bad contact;

      (2) check whether the power supply of the video recorder is connected stability, when using the video recorder, if the power supply is unstable for a long time, it will stop recording, and the video recorder will automatically enter the protection state.

5: Video files recorded by the video recorder can not be played on the computer.

Re:Make sure the computer is installed with the video player software appended by our company.

6: When playing the video file on the computer, the video picture has obvious pause.

Re:Ensure that the SD card is a high-speed SD card.

7: The recorded video files, the time becomes shorter.

Re:Because the SD card is used for many times, too many file fragments are generated in the storage device. Please completely format the SD card and use it again.

8: The time display is incorrect.

Re:(1) The time setting may be wrong, or the time is modified but does not press "OK" to take effect;

     (2) Poor battery contact; Or the battery is too old, please replace the battery.

9: There is no sound in video playback.

Re:(1) The device is not connected to the microphone during recording, or the voice record function is not turned on during recording;

     (2) The voice recording switch in the video setting option is not turned on;

     (3) Check whether mute play is set in the playback interface.

10: Motion detection doesn't work.

Re:(1) The moving object is not within the range of detection;

      (2) The detection sensitivity set is too low.

11: The remote control doesn't work.

Re:(1) The remote control may be too far away, or the Angle is relatively deviated;

      (2) The battery of the remote control may be used for too long, please replace the battery;

      (3) The remote control is damaged or the front panel of the video recorder is damaged.

12: No video output signal or signal distortion.

Re:(1) Check whether the power cable connected to the camera is loose;

     (2) check whether the video connection cable of the video recorder is loose;

     (3) Check whether the camera is damaged;

     (4) Check whether there is a problem in the connection between the video source and the display device;

     (5) Check whether PAL and NTSC systems are correctly selected.

13: THE I/O alarm does not work. (Note that this feature needs to be customized)

Re:(1) The alarm setting is incorrect;

     (2) The alarm wiring is incorrect;

     (3) The alarm input signal is incorrect.

14: No delay shutdown in startup mode.

Re:(1)The delay time is not set.

     (2) Set the delay time, but did not restart the video recorder.

15: Why is the PTZ out of control? . (Note that this feature needs to be customized)

Re:(1) The RS-485 interface may be connected incorrectly;

     (2) The type of PTZ decoder may be incorrectly;

     (3) The baud rate setting of the PTZ decoder may be incorrect;

     (4) The address bit setting of the PTZ decoder may be incorrect;

     (5) The RS-485 interface of the main board is damaged.

16: How much disk capacity may be used for each hour of video recording?

Re:(1) Audio occupies about 14M per channel each hour.

     (2) Video occupies about 100 ~ 220M(by CIF camera), 200 ~ 300M(by HD1 camera) and 400 ~ 600M (by D1 camera) per channel each hour.

     (3) The amount of magnetic space occupation is determined by resolution, bit rate, frame rate and picture quality. You can adjust these Settings when you go into video Settings. Of course, the higher definition or the clearer picture of the video, the more storage it needs.
